Step-by-Step: How to Calculate High School GPA (Manual Method)
- List every class you’ve taken (include credits if your school uses them — most classes = 1 credit per year).
- Convert each letter grade to points using the scale above (unweighted for basic calc, weighted if it’s Honors/AP).
- Multiply points by credits → this gives “quality points” for each class.
- Add up all quality points.
- Add up total credits.
